LuAnn is entering her 16th year in the history department in the Middle School at Saint Andrew’s School, Boca Raton, Florida. Inspired by her students’ needs, as well as her experiences at conferences and workshops on brain-based learning, learning styles, and innovative teaching methods, LuAnn decided to initiate the writing of a workbook for Saint Andrew’s students. She sought the help of Tami and Liz to create a well-rounded team
She has also taught a study skills course during the summer term, and she has presented at various conferences, including an NAES conference, a Kagan seminar for an FCIS workshop, and a Summerbridge workshop. In the summer of 2003, she coordinated a group of colleagues attending a Quantum Learning conference in Chicago. LuAnn was named Teacher of the Year in May 2003. She was subject coordinator in the Middle School for 13 years and is currently the Grade Leader for the 7th grade. In August 2005, she co-facilitate a Quantum Learning seminar.
A 26-year teaching veteran with a Master's Degree in Classroom Instruction, Tami's career as an elementary, middle, and high school mathematics and computer teacher has been enhanced by nearly 12 years of administrative work as an Assistant Principal, Director of Admission, Dean of Students, Director of Community Service and Grade Leader.  Awarded South Carolina's Teacher of the Year in 1984, Tami returned to her home
state of Florida to teach at Saint Andrew's School in Boca Raton, Florida, where she taught middle school math. Tami is currently the Associate Head of School/Director of Curriculum at Saint Joseph’s Episcopal School in Boynton Beach, Florida. She regularly attends conferences and workshops on brain-based learning, learning styles, and innovative teaching methods and will co-facilitate a Quantum Learning seminar in August 2005. She has presented study skills workshops at several national conferences, including NAIS and NAES, and has designed a website to market the Study Skills Tool Kit.
Liz is entering her 14th year in the history department in the Middle School at Saint Andrew’s. Before relocating to South Florida, she taught history and was Associate Director of Admissions at two boarding schools in New England. She is a member of the American Society of Training and Development. Based upon information gleaned from various conferences and workshops on brain- based learning, learning styles, and innovative
teaching methods, she was eager to participate in compiling the workbook with LuAnn and Tami. Liz has presented at an NAES conference and at a Kagan seminar for an FCIS workshop. She is currently the subject coordinator in the Middle School, and she will begin her 9th year as Director of the Saint Andrew’s Summer School (K –12).
